Celler Legal P.A. Employment Skills Scholarship Program
The following rules apply for applicants who wish to be considered for the annual Celler Legal Scholarship award. Please review the rules for submission thoroughly before submitting your documents for consideration. Entrants who fail to complete the requirements will not be considered for the award.
Celler Legal will be providing a financial award in the amount of $1,000 to Florida high school seniors and freshman enrollees seeking a degree in an accredited Florida four year university, college or community college. Created in 2016, the program will continue annually to support young exceptional young students looking to advance their work and career skills with the intent of using their education in service of their community.

Applicants who wish to apply for the award are required to submit the following: Create a video discussing one of the following topics: how job loss, discrimination in the workplace, disability or harassment on the job affected them personally or their family. Applicants are encouraged to discuss any emotional and financial toll the experience caused on the victim and their family. In addition, a short essay is required along with the video, discussing the topic and sharing creative ideas for reducing on the job discrimination rates, harassment and other illegal practices. Along with these items, the entrant is required to download and complete (to be included with submission package) the following scholarship application provided here.
Requirements for Eligibility
- Have maintained a high school GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Be entering freshman year (or attending first year) in a Florida college or university
- Be a U.S. citizen or have permanent residency
In order for submissions to be considered, applicants must include a copy of high school transcripts, SAT or ACT scores. Entrants are strongly encouraged to share any extracurricular activities and athletic accomplishments they were involved in during high school.
The applicants will be reviewed by members of Celler Legal P.A. and evaluated based on factors including financial need, the personal story shared, and the accomplishments of the student. Applicants are encouraged to share how they intend to use their education for the benefit of the community and others and share any reasons they feel they should be selected for the award.
All materials required for entry must be received in a single package prior to November 12. Entries which fail to arrive by the deadline will not be considered. The entrant who is selected will receive a $1,000 scholarship disbursed in a single installment to aid in the costs of their ongoing education.
By highlighting the emotional and financial toll associated with job loss and illegal workplace practices, we hope to bring greater awareness to these important issues. Some job seekers may face discriminatory practices, harassment or unlawful employer actions. Others may find themselves in the role of management and employer. By highlighting the impact to families and the community, we hope the participants will be better equipped to stand up for their rights and the rights of those they serve as employer.
